Montallegro Funicular
Opened on August 29, 1934, the cable car is the only facility of this kind in all of Liguria and allows you to arrive at the Sanctuary of Montallegro in just 7 minutes after crossing a 600-meter altitude.
With a capacity of 144 people per hour, it is a further tourist attraction for pilgrims visiting the Shrine that reminds the Madonna's appearance.
The cableway climb allows you to admire from above the intense blue of the Tigullio Gulf and a panorama of incomparable beauty, a delightful prelude to the oasis of peace that you find on arrival at the upstream station of the cable car.
Near the sanctuary there are numerous trails and a Via Crucis that winds on the ridge between the holm oaks, an ideal walk to enjoy peace, silence and fresh and clean air even in the summer.
